CS2 share codes
Track CS2 matches from share codes
FragLedger turns Valve match share codes into a full, source-labeled match ledger — scoreboard, rounds, deaths, and published Frag Rating math — without inventing missing stats.
01 · Basics
What is a CS2 match share code?
A match share code is Valve’s short string that identifies a completed Counter-Strike 2 match for your account. FragLedger uses it (with your Game Authentication Code) to resolve the match on Steam, download the official demo when available, and build a durable match receipt.
Share codes alone are not enough for public third-party scrapers to rebuild full round evidence. FragLedger’s private pipeline resolves them through Steam’s Game Coordinator, then parses the demo in a sandboxed worker.
02 · Auth
Game Authentication Code vs share code
- Game Authentication Code (match history authentication code) proves FragLedger may request demos for your Steam account. You paste it once when enabling tracking.
- Match share code points at one completed match. You can paste codes manually or let tracking pick up new matches after setup.
FragLedger never displays raw codes in public pages. Tracking secrets stay encrypted server-side.
03 · Steps
How to import a match into FragLedger
- Sign in with Steam on FragLedger.
- Friend the FragLedger bot from the onboarding flow.
- In CS2: Settings → Game → copy Your Match History Authentication Code.
- Open match history (or an end-of-match screen) and copy a share code.
- Paste both into FragLedger. When Valve’s demo is ready, the pipeline downloads, parses, and seals the match.
Large demos can take several minutes on shared workers. Status pages and your ledger show progress without guessing unfinished stats.
04 · Output
What you get after a successful parse
- Team score and full 2v2 or 5v5 roster with SteamID64s
- Per-round K/D/A, damage, survival, trades, and win reasons
- Death timeline evidence sealed to the demo bytes
- Frag Rating v0.2 with published formulas on /methodology
- Explicit gaps when a domain is unavailable — never filled with zeros
